Connexions are a government run body aimed at helping children aged 13-19 years and living in England. They offer confidential advice, support and information on all sorts of topics from choosing a career and finding a job, to leaving home, learning, money, health, relationships etc.

Chasestead actively support Connexions by having several students a year come in on work experience. Depending on their age they stay for a period from 1 week up to 6 months. Their time with us is split between the various departments to ensure that the students learn about all aspects of our business from Finance & Administration to Engineering & Manufacturing.

If a particular student knows exactly what field they want to go in when they leave school then we try to tailor their work experience around this area.

Over the many years we have taken part in the work experience programme we have developed a very high reputation with the schools in our area. We now have children from outside the area writing to us asking if they can spend their work experience placement with us!
